This stately elm has finally fallen victim to age. During the spring of
1998 a large limb fell from the tree during a storm and it was discovered
after consulting several experts that the tree was unsafe. During the Fall
and Winter the tree has been slowly removed in pieces by a tree service
and is currently just a shadow of it's old self.
